It has an elegant lobby, billiard room, warm, friendly and very helpful staff. The included breakfast was outstanding. It made a great home away from home for our trip to the Tatras."

"Since 1998 I have organized various activities as well as trips for American students as part of their study programs. One of the most popular destinations is the Slovak republic, allowing the students a picture of our beautiful neighboring country. During our stay in the High Tatras we always pick the guesthouse Villa Dr. Szontagh. The villa has very attentive and familiar atmosphere which reminds me of home, and the service is delivered on a very high professional level. This is something we rarely experience in any other hotels during our trips.
The students are always surprised by the very personal and kind approach, as well as the high quality of service, since from their homes they are used to a more formal approach and kindness. But it is also about the many beautiful, cozy spots you can discover in their guest house, both smaller and larger rooms where most have a beautiful terrace. Every morning you can walk out and take a breath of a fresh mountain air, whilst enjoying the beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.."

"My wife and I spent the most wonderful Christmas in the Tatra's in the homely embrace of the Vrabelova family. The scenery is so breath taking, and the Crisp, white snow just adds to the beauty. It seemed a shame to roll up the snow to make a snow man but it was so much fun.
But it's also the varied history and culture of the area which make the area such an attractive place to visit, and the Spa in town, of course...!!!"
